The Wagner Electric Sign Company was founded in 1954 and is incorporated in the State of Ohio.
We actually have two businesses - Wagner Electric Sign Company and Wagner Sign Service & Lighting.
The Wagner Electric Sign Company is a custom sign manufacturer specializing in all types of custom illuminated and non-illuminated signs. Some of our best and most creative work has been done with NEON lighting, Theater Marquees, Custom Signs, and Electronic Message Centers.
We also provide complete installation of all types of illuminated and
non-illuminated signs for both our products and those manufactured by
national companies with no minimum or maximum cost limitations.
The type of work performed by The Wagner Electric Sign Company may be
generally classified as 75% institutional, entertainment, governmental,
& retail, and 25% general commercial and industrial.
The Wagner Electric Sign Company performs installation and service in,
but not limited to, the Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Toledo, Youngstown
markets, as well as other Northern Ohio markets. We also manufacture
products for national sign programs which are either installed by us or
are shipped to other firms for installation.
Our large scale project management and theatre marquee business is
national. We also sell smaller signs and projects nationally by using
our involvement in networking organizations like the World Sign
Associates.
The Wagner Electric Sign Company works with local governments to help
ensure that new sign ordinances are not overly restrictive and that
zoning appeals boards give an opportunity for adequate consideration of
specialty and custom signs enabling businesses to get the exposure and
visibility they require. We can provide consulting services to local
governments to provide advise and consultation prior to creating new
sign codes and zoning ordinances. We try to ensure that the zoning
ordinances we help create adhere to not only sound business sense for
the local business community, but also adhere to good sound visual
cleanliness and the basic guidelines outlined in the outstanding SBA's
(Small Business Administration) phenomenal web site located at

The Wagner Electric Sign Company is a "union shop" manufacturing
company (Local 639) with some of our skilled craftsman having over 25
years manufacturing or installation experience.
The Wagner Electric Sign Company is an active member in each of the
following Associations: "World Sign Associates", "International Sign
Association", "Midwest Sign Association", "Northeastern Ohio Sign
Council", the "League of Historic American Theaters", and "The Theatre
Historical Society Association", and others.
